My education is in agricultural engineering, with a focus on Plant Pathology. I graduated from the Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine Hassan II (Morocco). I got my master of science degree in Integrated Pest Management for fruit trees and vegetable crops from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (CIHEAM-IAMB) (Italy). My thesis was about constructing a synthetic infectious clone of Artichoke Italian latent virus for RNA silencing studies. I got an internship at the department of cell biology in the University of Brasilia (Brazil), working on constructing plant viral infectious clones and starting dealing with HTS data analysis.
