Nuria Fontdevila

My name is Núria Fontdevila Pareta, and I was born in Catalonia (Spain). Currently, I am living in Belgium as I am completing my PhD studies within the INEXTVIR project.

Profile

During my undergraduate studies I was able to do a traineeship at the Department of Population Genetics in the University of Leicester, where I worked with bioinformatic tools to study the geographical origins of human ancient DNA samples. Shortly afterwards, I began my journey as a young plant pathologist and young researcher studying and assessing tolerance and resistance of uncommercialized barley cultivars to barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) infection.
